India has been witnessing changing trends in the international franchising lately especially Trends In Food Franchising. US and Europe witness India as a great market for their food franchises. With the increasing population, the demand for new restaurants has been increasing in the country resulting in several franchises investing in the country.
Three trends of Food Franchising have been witnessed in India and these are discussed below:
Trend One:
As per this trend, popular American Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) brands who opened their stores earlier in India during the mid 1990s. These QSRs are still doing well in the country despite the competition from the local food brands. Now these restaurants want to open more stores in the country for the expansion.
Trend Two :
There are popular food brands in the country that have established themselves really well but still, they keep on introducing the changes according to Indian tastes. For eg: McDonald's in 2012 introduced meat free restaurants.
Trend Three:
The other trend that was seen during 2014 was the entry of several new fast food chains in the country.
